There is a complete lunar eclipse happenning tonight. Starting at about 8:45, those with telescopes can see the hue going over the moon, the total eclipse will start at about 10:30 or so and last until about 12:30

(All times EDT, so it's accurate if your in the Eastern time zone in the southern regions of the US.)

I'm hoping the cloud cover from the impending storm doesn't hide it from Utah...

We've had moderate to heavy clouds all day today, so i guess I miss out on that!:(

Would have liked to see it in person, but Nooooo, damn Minnesota Weather, can be sunny & warm one hour & freezing & snowing the next.

Yes thank you BBA.....It was light rain and totally overcast with clouds here in Utah so I personally didnt get to see it :(

MDS, We have actually gotten enough snow here in the mountains (15 mins from my house) that two of the ski resorts are actually opening this weekend!

We saw it from our yard with the aid of my ancient 60x telescope, and it was a spectacle alright.

BBA: Nice pics indeed.

Your the only one that noticed...most telescopes invert left to right, such as the pictures I took.

I could have corrected them, but I would bet most of the pictures you see anywhere of stellar objects are left-right inverted.
