Modem Problem

Can any one please help.

i have just installed Windows XP on my brothers computer, every thing is working ok, except that it will not connect to the internet, i have installed AOL but it can not find the Modem.

I have installed Belarc Adviser and that can not see the moden either.

So my questions would be, is there aa device manager in XP?
if yes, where is it?

What should my next move be to rectify the problem?

Right click My Computer, select properties, select Hardware, then Device manager.
