In nero 6 how do I get past the 'copy protection' for burning movies to a dvd?

Sounds like a long story, dude---most movie DVDs are double layer, while the home-made ones are single-layer, that means that you'll have to rip the movie, remove all the extras and recompress it to only take up half of what it was on the store-bought disk. You will lose some sound and video quality, and will also be violating copyrights by bypassing the copy-protection and copying the movie. But if you are still willing to do that, you can google for software that can do the work for you...

You can use DVD XCopy Xpress is the best for making a copy of a DVD movie you own. I have used it for years with good results. You can get it here:

Perhaps the copy protection is there to prevent one from copying it..

If you are backing up your disks then this is moot, the quality is reduced.. If not, please ask elsewhere..
