Need sites to learn Photoshop use & techniques?

Hey guys you know of any real good highly detailed sites or forums, that can tell you how to "properly" use Photoshop & teach you techniques on how to do stuff in it. I want to learn a bit on how to do layering & otehr cool special effects. i kind of know how to use some plug-ins & stuff, but want to know how to do more with them. On my bro's JO Squads site they have a Sig contest going... I think its just for fun, no real prize, but I figured what the hell, I'd like to give it a try.

Well i would say adobe.com there you will find some tutorials ,which will help you to learn photo shop...
