TELSTRA competitors are rushing to build their own high-speed internet networks, eyeing the promise of the voice, video and faster data triple-play as the wrecking ball for the telecoms giant's broadband dominance.
Main competitor Optus will begin testing a range of services next month as it finalises its DSL network model.
It is understood Optus is at the next stage of its tender to build a national consumer-grade DSL service.
