XP Pro Frontpage questions

OK, it's all new to me. I been working on a small site I like to host myself. everything will be going into the default win folders.
I have my router up and two boxes beside the W2K server {700E Celeron, tks ski52 for the mobo}

The templet is the default personal one.

1- how do I upload the site to my server? {OS is W2K server} and noo, I don't know the IP of any of the machines and I don't remember how to find that out.
2- how do I add a page for download links?
3- how do I add links to the download web page that will point to files on the server for downloading. {Hdd is partioned into "C" and "D"}
4- suggested books I should ether borrow from the libairy or try to purchase from borders book store.

So, you wanna upload locally only? Not onto a web server??

Haven't used FrontPage for a long while, but I suppose I could check it out again. ;)

Hmmm, I been nosying around in the MS help files at thier site and exploring the different server configs on the box and I wonder if I should config the server as a web server and load office xp on to the same box, seems like it would be better to point the web wizard to the on box dir then try to point it across the lan to this box.
see!!! I'm trying to learn myself and not be lazy and let others do all the work for me :D
