If no one has picked the winning number an alternative number will then be used

Anyone with some decent programming skills could probably come up with a computer program to generate statistics. Actually, if LaurenU2 continues to report how many people are close in later contests, and it stays a Lotto or something similar: I might need to remind my programmer father about his birthday.

That would be very hard to trace/prove.

Lauren has already said that there are currently 2 members with the winning number. It wouldn't be to hard to write something to check all the numbers that match, and give a list of unique numbers - One of which would be the winning number.

I tried to pick numbers that you didn't have, that way we have doubled our chances of 1 of us winning. If I picked the same as you, it would be redrawn anyway. :rolleyes:

you can't expect finalists or even 1st round poeple (esp) not to have repeats.

the simplest way to resolve a winner if there are multiple winners in rd2 to to go to the secondary numbers drawn (in order). if no one picks any of the secondary ones, then whoever is closest to the first of the secondary numbers.

for ex. for rd2 the winning number is 15, secondary #s are 87, 40, 21.

danny picks 15, 51, 39, 22
roadkill picks 15, 55, 77, 36

roadkill would be the winner because his 77 comes closest to 87 (the first drawn # of the secondary pool)

if both danny and roadkill had picked the 77, then use the second # drawn from the secondary pool which is 40.
