ATARI is planning to release more than 20 years worth of back catalogue.
The games, which include Centipede, Asteroid and Pong, were once the mainstay of a misspent youth either at home or at the video arcades that sprang up in the 1980s to accommodate them. Read more at Inquirer (http://www.theinquirer.net//?article=18319)

That is Cool, I miss some of my old favorites!

But still 85 games on a disc, COme on, I know they can stuff more than 85 games on a disk, Ive had CDR's with ROMs of SNES NES & Genesis games on them with over 200 games on them, I wonder if they'll have other stuff on the disc's, like some sort of multimedia stuff, videos & other stuff. Although they are probably 85 of the best selling & most popular games of the time, thats probably why?

It depends on what they do to the programs as well as the format they use. If they take the basic code and make it playable for either format, it will require more space than the basic code using original instructions on an original system. On another note, if they take the code and clean up the games, fix glitches, maybe enhance the visual quality... well you get the picture. You are probably right on the "other stuff" as well.

it's at EB Games here now, I saw it this afternoon when I poped in to see if Silient Hunter III was out yet.
