I'm looking for two pcmcia blanks for my Dell XPI P133ST lap top. they are for inserting into the pcmcia slots to keep junk/crap out when no cards are inserted.

anybody have any suggestions as to I might look for these blanks? I ask in the Dell fourm and got no repley. I really hate having hay chaf and whatnot in the slots.. nooo I wil not use duct tape.................

I asked the recycler about them again Jim. He still couldnt locate any. They have several hundred but there all in laptops on the shelves and they wont pull any of those. He said to check back in a week or 2 to see if he found any.
How about finding and cutting a small piece of foam sightly larger than the slot and putting it into the slot. Not a perfect solution but would probably do the job untill you get the cards. I agree about the tape. To messy and the heat will just make a gooey mess.

Bad news on the block off plates, someone has thrown them out. I do have some old functional cards, 3com 10Mbs nics with Xjacks and some old token ring and SCSI cards. If you don't mind disabling devices, I can send some of these out. They're basically new, just some testing for functionality, but not compatible with our current network.
