Just curious, and this may save some grief with the PM box.

Is there any way to set the default from "save all sent messages" to asking if it wan't to save, or have a click box "to save" a message? A lot of members are unaware of the sent box and others don't care. Personally, I use it, but I would only save 1 in every 10 PMs I send.

This could be done yes, it's in the template that that box is marked, just like the message tracking/read receipt box.

Alternatively, up the size of Mickwish's mailbox ten-fold. That's what we really mean. No, joking apart, it might make sense for the mods to have larger boxes...?

It would require to install a hack on this board, only admins have a bigger PM box, which is unlimited.

What would really help is one of those bars that shows how many PM's you have and how much room there is left.

Bottom of the forum area gives all that info - ie:

Cowboybooter - You have 1 new message(s) since your last visit.
(You have 0 unread messages and 34 total messages in all your folders.)

Just a case of being fastidious!

Not all of us are as fastidious as you, CBB!

If I had a function to save my PM's locally (like in vB3) I wouldn't have such a prob working out which ones to keep and which to ditch. That is half my trouble. :o

A bar like Gohan suggests would be nice, though, if it was at the TOP of the forum homepage. ;)

Cheers
