Just put a MSI K7D Master in my box and added a couple of MP 1200's. Since they are unlocked, I just cranked up the multiplier to 11.5. They have been running for 4 days @ 1.53 ghz (mp 1800). I have volcano 7's on them for cooling, alittle tight, but they work great. I've had 2 eccp109 clients running on it since it was built and the temps are 38 C and 40 C.

Niiice OC there! :cooldude:
The MSI K7D Master is a good choice from what I've seen in site reviews. How do you rate it as an Overclocker-friendly Motherboard? (As in little OC features, some, or a good deal)

There is one reason why I bought the MSI board. You are able to adjust the multiplier via the bios. It has very little in the fsb adjustments. However, I really don't want to be running the pci cards, harddrives, etc out of spec. I built this box for 2 reasons,
1. For working on and rendering 3d scenes with Carrara
2. Working on DV and using Adobe Premiere.

Same thing here: I run an MSI K7T Turbo (MS-6330) and it's quite easy to OC in the BIOS. Very stable board and has all the features I need (except DDR :().

If only the K7D had one more 32/33 PCI slot.... with only 2 of them left after the USB card, I'd hate to run the 64/66 at 33Mhz crippling the whole North-South connection to 266MB/s.
So the TigerMPX looks better to me. Pitty it doesn't have all the o'cing features (but it has 4 32/33 + Intel NIC on board and working USBs :))

Yeah, 2CPU.com gave a good review of the TigerMPX. I couldn't have agreed more with their conclusion.
Yeah, I just wish they had working USB ports on duallie AMD mainboards! :( I was wondering why all the AMD SMP mainboards came with a USB PCI card! I thought it was a little bonus they were throwing in with the mainboard. However, it turns out that dual AMD mainboards have on-board USB ports that don't even work correctly!

Well the problem was not as big as it sounded, only some devices would not work, but Asus had the ports completely removed (I never liked Asus anyway :)). However newer revisions have the ports fixed, so while old stock lasts you might end up with a buggy board, but nowadays you shouldn't really.
Hopefully Abit will come out with a AMD duallie mainboard with all the nice BIOS features on all of their other mainboards.
