Can't remember the model but its a 8-port D-Link wired router, thinking about going to wireless, but only after I get the laptop fixed, need a new HD, then will get a wireless PC card for it & a wireless router or access point, but being as they're about same in price probably a wireless router.

I use a custom built IPCop (www.ipcop.org) router, wired to my wired LAN, then shared via a wireless access point to my wireless LAN.

If you already have a wired router, why get a wireless router? Just get an access point and extend your LAN! :D

When I got my WAP, they were about half the cost of a wireless router.

Cheers
Mick

edit: BTW, CC, I presume you only want to know about routers, not those with other non-routing wireless network devices like switches/hubs etc. Many folks seem to get routers and other network devices confused. ;)

I have used Linksys, Smoothwall and IPCop. Currently using a Linksys router with 802.11g (b was WAY too slow for how I use my network).

The cheapest @$$3D Zoom router my Dad could find. 1 ethernet port, and no wireless.

Bah. :)

Linksys BEFW11S4 Wireless-B with 4-ports. Everyone seems to like Linksys, so I got one. I hate it! The Port Triggering and Port Forwarding don't work properly. I have to keep resetting the settings. Once in a while, it drops my DSL connection, so I have to power cycle (I believe that's the term) the router. The only other devices near the router are a monitor and a DSL modem. It's just the most frustrating thing I've ever owned.
