CC, I've got a 350 now, was hoping to take it to the top.
TT, unfortunatly my board only supports celeron's to 433 MHz.
Thanks for the offers, guys!

Let me do some checking in the morning bud...I might still have a 450 sitting downstairs in the storeroom that is yet to be gone thru (last room to do due to the divorce)

You can run this celeron 500 at 433 speeds. If you still are interested lemme know.
Also, what board you got in that thing? It must be a wee bit old to have a max of celly 433:)
If your looking for a faster cpu AND board we could work a deal. I got a few compaq, and dell boards...

Yeah, it's old all right. It's an old AT mobo, got it from where I work, they were going to throw it away because it wouldn't recognize the hard drive, I asked for it fiquring I could throw in an IDE card. When I got it home, I got into the setup and reset everything to default, backed out and it booted right up! So, I'm not looking to spend much money, just want to get it to go as fast as I can. I also picked up three other comps at the same time. All in all, I got three working comps out of four. Not bad for a freebee!

Thanks for the offers, guys, but it looks like I'm not going to upgrade this board after all. I was having some problems with the floppy drive, so I checked the cable and found it was hot glued to the motherboard! I'll just leave it as it is and run FaD on it till it croaks. That is unless I find a really cheap faster AT mobo and CPU combo.

That's a neat idea, Roadkill!
If you fancy sticking FaD on any other boxes, feel free to do so! As long as nickname and e-mail addy are the same, all points will find you!

Most Pentium 2 boards will take a Pentium 3 450Mhz... If you're interested, I've got a coupe.. :)
