Microsoft has finally owned up to its bugs and is now offering for free (including free shipping) a CD for all versions of Windows going back to the original Windows 98.

I got mine. I got the March 04 version with win98,98se,me,xp (pro and home) on 2 cds. I also got (dunno why) the Windows Server 2003 on 2 cds as well. Nice to have when you format and wanna get protected against the blaster and not have to be in the middle of windows update then have it saying going to shut down. :) Order now guys.. nice addition to my other cds :P

Yep....Very nice of them and you know it costs them a pretty penny to do it too...disks and shipping

All of this could be downloaded before as well, I will have to dig up the link, but there is a search function somewhere on MS where you can tell it what OS you have and it will tell you all of the patches available for it. Nowhere near as easy as the CD, but nice if you are in a pinch.

Also, Thronka, invest in a router, it will stop a machine from getting infected while you update unless something on your lan is spewing.

Very wise info SJ, I recommend anyone getting broadband to invest in a router.
