Was checking out the central queue server that I have setup here at work and noticed something odd...anyone ever seen this before?

If ya look at it ,it shows the progress of the molicule. The greener it is means its just starting.

ya I know that it's still going, the percent done changes as well...I just thought it odd that it doesn't list a time as to when it started.

There was a thread running in FaD Fora which discussed missing start time, but I can't remember where! :( Search didn't help much!

i've never seen one like that but the fact that the date is missing might be a problem.

are you able to isolate which PC is is running that mollie and try to bring up the Job Info window...what is the elapsed time?

I can't say I've seen one like that... but perhaps PJ is heading in the right direction, I wonder if the computer that's running it had it's date chaged (or corrected) from a time in the future (IE was Apr. 5 / 05 and someone fixed it causing the program not to record the start time properly, not exactly the experiment I want to conduct if Cwiz is right :(

Also you might want to check the server.log to see what node it was allocated to (if you don't have that info) then look in that nodes .tlg file to find out when it started the job, might give a pointer as to what's wrong...

I'll check it out tomorrow as to which node that job is running on...and see if I can find out any other info.

Well it just happened again...and I think I know why this time.

On any given day there's the possibility of someone being sick or showing up late, etc...and when this happens their machine usually isn't on. Most of the ppl here turn their machines off at night...gotta work on these guys. :p So anyways...when this happens, the job their computer was working on will be yellow while the others are crunching happily along. What I did was re-allocate that job to another computer and when it started crunching that job I noticed that the start time disappeared just like on the job I posted before.

Neither has finished yet and I'm hoping it doesn't fail...guess I'll find out.

How come you re-allocate the jobs? Impatient? :p

Pretty much. lol.

Well whenever you see 10 or 20 machines crunching happily along and you've got one or two that are just sitting there doing nothing...rather then wait til that person comes back from being sick (or whatever the case may be) I just release the job to the next machine that finishes. :D
