View Full Version : Can't get win ME to install

First here's the specs:
------------------------
Biostar M7VKQ.PRO Ver:6.2 (AMD SiS740)
AMD ATHLON XP 2000
256MB RAM
40GB HD
Samsung CD-ROM
Samsung CD-RW
------------------------

Long story short, I built it, did fdisk, format, went to go install WinME, got through the install, popped in the Biostar driver disk, install the video driver, reboot, go to open My Computer to open the driver cd-rom again and immediately get this error

"Explorer has caused an error in MSHTML.DLL
Explorer will now close"

Looks to be a error in that file. Needs to be reinstalled.

that article was for win98 and couldn't get it to work for ME

I never could get ME to run right on anything over 1800Mhz.

question, can you download that and then install it on a puter without internet...

'cause if I remember right it needs the internet to install

Yes..you can install it to an non Internet connected computer..
the link is HERE (http://www.updatexp.com/download-ie6.html)

..and no it is not OS specific..it's just copying all of IE6 SP1

um... I downloaded, installed, and now get errors when trying to click on help>about internet explorer to chcek the version... sumthin didn't install right I don't think
