WTB: Windows 2000 Pro CD

Ok, I got the Windows 2000 Pro License/COA. I thought I was buying the CD and the License and when I got it yesterday, it was an obviously burned copy (or "backup" is what they called it) and would not work. I need the holographic CD. If anyone has one they would be willing to part with or knows where I can get it inexpensively, please let me know.

CC, Have you tried getting a replacement from MS? Im not sure what they charge for 2k, but for a replacement for my XP Home was only $20.

you sure the license was legit then?

Yeah, the license was legit. It has all the security markings on it, but the CD was burned and then a label was printed / placed on it. My last resort will be Microsoft, if all else fails.

There is many places out there such as number9 software and such that sell just the COA/license without media so I'm not supprised that you got a burnt disk and still got a legit COA/License

The funny thing was that the advertisement was for service pack 4 and it was actually only service pack 2.
