I am trying to bring back to life an old Packard Bell for my 13 year old daughter. I created a boot disk before I repartition and formatted the hard drive. I cannot reach the CD ROM drive to re install WIN95 with the boot disk I created. I have downloaded several boot disks from the web and when I try to use them I get errors

- Corrupt or missing files HIMEM.sys,
- Error in Config.sys on Line 1
- Corrupt or missing file CD1.sys
- Error in Config.sys on Line 5
- Sector not Found reading Drive A

The frustrating thing is that the first boot disk I downloaded for the WEB did work and it gave me access to the CD Drive by load IDE CD-ROM (or something to the affect). I am sure the A drive is ok because I am able to boot the system with original disk I created and reach the A: prompt and perform fdisk procedures without any problems.

Any help on what I can try next would be greatly appreciate.

Joe
