Hey NDC, Ive got a quesition for you, well a big one.
Ive got a friend at work, only known him for about 6 months or so, but he's about 24 and graduated from college a year or 2 ago with some kind of basic arts degree or graphic arts degree & is waiting for his girlfriend to finish school out here, any ways a while back he was asking me what was a good PC & Mac setup for doing graphic arts & stuff like that on, with a little 3d gaming on the side too. Being as I know very little about the mac (last time I used a mac was 8 years ago in college, an LS series), & I know a fair amount about what a good setup is for gaming on the PC, but not what a good setup is for graphic arts, even though I mess with PS 6 & 7 & the like once in a while.
I guess what I'm askling is what is a good setup for all this on the PC and\or the Mac, with in the 500 to 1200 dollar range (yeah I know with the mac's that, that's kind of impossible, but...), he doesn't have a whole lot of cash right now & currently has to use his GF's PC for anything, needs to ask her before he can do anything on it!!!
