regarding this very cool boot-less PC idea - does ANYONE here have enough confidence in a Microsoft operating system now to say they want something bootless that would carry the same problems to each & every session forward to the next session?

don't get me wrong - I love the suspend to RAM / sleep stuff - but I still end up rebooting even my most stable PC's once or twice a week to clean up all the junk left behind by the OS and TSR's....

So - I have mixed feelings - on the one hand - it has a lot of potential - on the other - it smells like a support nightmare on some things.

I'm sure they would have something like the NT boot-loader that is configurable to display an option to load clean, but default to restart from static thin-ram in 2 to 4 seconds if no other option is selected. This would assume a LOT of additional house-cleaning applications running in the back-ground - especially a RAM defrag tool of some sort.
