hey, couple stupid questions for ya xaotic...

whats the diffference between low profile and standard profile on those cards??? and whats the difference between say AGP 8x and AGP pro?

The AGP Pro interface comes in two varieties, 55 and 110 watt. The slots are longer and the cards are not compatible with normal AGP(1x-8X). Many of the AGP Pro slots are AGP 4X or higher and provide aditional power to the cards, in much the same way that the Radeon 9800s get extra power by connection to the power supply, AGP Pro just gets it through the interface. Normally AGP Pro is found on dual or workstation boards. I've got three current systems with the slots, all duals.

The low profile cards are half height cards, normally intended for server or small form factor desktop use. Typically, they have passive heatsinks and, for the most part, tend to be lower powered cards.

More stuff to be added tonight, I just finished testing my surplus nonECC SDRAM and may get a chance to check out the ECC SDRAM and some optical drives tonight.
